Good morning! What a great day we had yesterday (Tuesday). Our verse for the day was taken from Matthew 25:36. Our focus was that God wants us personaly to respond to the physical needs of others around us. We looked at the story of four friends found in Luke 5:17-26 and the Millennial Development Goals of Reducing child mortality, improving maternail health and combatting HIV/AIDS, malaria and diseases. After spending time in Bible study, all of us got to once again put our hands and feet into action in the community of New Orleans.
Check out the Passport website (password - Power Washer). There are some great pictures of a couple of the mission sites! http://www.passportcamps.org/2008/camp_galleries/dillard_2.php
Last night was also the Down on the Farm dance and did our students have a great time! It was hot and humid, but everyone was dancing, jumping and singing.
Today we have the afternoon free after our mission sites so we are going to visit the River Walk as well as Mardis Gras World (where they make all the floats and decorations for Mardi Gras).
Continue to pray for our students and the efforts being made here in New Orleans.

Dee - Lisa and others are taking lots of pictures. I have found that they are harder to post than the originally thought (some of that may be my learning curve :-)
Anyway, make sure you are checking out the Passport website as well for lots of pictures each day. It is http://www.passportcamps.org/2008/camp_galleries/dillard_2.php. Enter this password Power Washer.
On Tuesday night in the youth room we will be sharing lots of pictures on the "big screen".
